This article describes the Netherlands through the eyes of an American expat. He describes how the “socialist” state functions and why it is working so well, but he also, albeit briefly, discusses the downsides. I completely agree with both sides of his story, although he could have been more balanced by emphasizing the downsides a bit more, as they are not inconsequential.
