This weekend I enjoyed a spectacular hike on the Blaskets Island, or rather, on the main Blasket island, which is An Blascaod Mor (The Great Blasket). I uploaded the pictures here. I received non-stop complaints that I upload too many pictures, so here I reduced a set of 160 to just 18 pictures - half of them to keep a log of events and half of them because I think they are beautiful ocean shots. If you have any further complaints, let me know.
To give you a feel of the Ferry to the island, I also uploaded a movie. No idea whether this works well, though.
Here is a small map of the islands, just to give you some perspective. They are located at the far end of the Dingle Peninsula, in south-west Ireland.
My father is currently visiting me in Boston and while he is here we will be uploading pictures to my Flickr account. I’ll later on figure a way to integrate them into my site (perhaps) or import them into Facebook (perhaps) or at least upload some of them into my Facebook as well.
Yesterday I went on a hike found through the Boston hiking Yahoo group with just six people to the highest peak in Massachussetts, Mt Greylock. I uploaded a set of photos taken by Matt, the hiking group leader, to my photo gallery. Unfortunately, I have not been able yet to properly integrate gallery2 with my WordPress site, so the photos button above and to the right still don’t really work. This should be changed soon. Another member of this little hiking group uploaded pictures here, with especially really nice close-ups of berries and grass in the snow.
